Respecting the dignity of each person, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia brings hope and help to those in need so they may achieve stability and move toward self-sufficiency. Our mission of St. Vincent de Paul at St. James Catholic Church is for members to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are in need within Morgan County.
Our Local Responsibilities
As part of the international Catholic lay organization, our Conference offers financial, material, educational, and spiritual support. By collaborating with others, we develop and deliver programs and services that help our clients achieve stability and self-sufficiency. We work closely with other Morgan County churches and societies to provide help to all Morgan County residents.
How We Help
We normally visit 10-25 families in a month. In addition to financial assistance, we provide home repairs, household items and recommendations for them to receive help from other organizations. Most of the financial support for our ministry comes from monthly donations from our parishioners and financial grants.
What We Need
We need volunteers for home visits and other areas of support. We would love to have you consider visiting us on the second or fourth Monday of every month at 6:00 PM in the church hall. Anyone willing to lend a hand is welcome to join our ministry. Even a few hours of your time are very precious to the needy and the distressed within Morgan County. You can be an apostle right in your own parish. If you cannot volunteer with our ministry, we always appreciate all financial donations and prayers to help the needy.
